Allen & Adalee

I had the pleasure of filming the wedding of Allen and Adalee on December 3rd, 2016 at the Loray Mills in Gastonia, NC.  Allen and Adalee had a very unique wedding in that the ceremony start time was at 10 a.m.  I had to drag myself out of bed at 3:45am to get to the venue and film the preparations, but it was worth it!  Allen and Adalee were so much fun to work with!  I just loved working with the couple and their families.

This was the first morning wedding that I have ever shot.  I hope that it is not the last.  Allen and Adalee had a doughnut wall for their guests to enjoy during “cocktail hour,” and they served breakfast for the meal.  Very cool.

There was a sad note to this wedding though.  Allen’s grandfather, Jerry West, who performed the ceremony, passed away later that evening.  He and Allen were very close.  I only got to speak with him briefly when I was putting a microphone on him for the ceremony, but I could instantly tell that he was a very warm and caring person.  I hate that Allen and Adalee’s wedding was followed by such a tragedy, but I am happy that he got to perform their wedding ceremony.

Congratulations again to Allen and Adalee!

Björn and Susannah’s Wedding in Fort Mill, SC

I love it when couples write their own vows.  I will almost always put it in a wedding film.  I think it is so meaningful when couples do this.  If you need to see why, just watch Björn and Susannah’s video above.  Björn and Susannah are the sweetest couple you will ever see.  I just loved being a part of their wedding.  I loved the venue as well.  Working at the Dairy Barn at Anne Springs Close Greenway is always a joy!

Since Björn is from Germany, I got to experience some really cool German traditions, including having the bride and groom cut our a giant heart with a pair of tiny scissors.  The groom then carries the bride through the heart that was cut out.

Thanks to Björn and Susannah for giving me the opportunity to be their wedding videographer.  Congrats!

Jake and Amelia’s Asheville wedding

I had the pleasure of filming the wedding of Jake and Amelia on October 22nd, 2016.  Their wedding was at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Asheville NC.  From the unique decor to the stunning location near the Biltmore, this is a great location for a wedding!

Unfortunately, Jake came down with strep throat the day before the wedding, but that didn’t stop them from having a great wedding day.   He toughed it out, although it did put a damper on the kiss at the end of the ceremony.  🙂

Amelia’s dress was absolutely stunning!  Of course this is no surprise considering Amelia’s mom owns the Anjolique Bridal and Formal.   I can always tell a dress that comes from that shop as there is something unique and special about it.  Once you see the dress in the film, I think you will agree.

Congrats to Jake and Amelia on their wedding and I wish you both the best!

Wedding film for Brittany and Seth

Congrats to Brittany and Seth who were married on May 21st, 2016!  The weather forecast called for rain and storms all day for their outdoor wedding and reception, but it turned out to be beautiful instead!  Here is the wedding film from their day:
